Below are our favourite gaming mouse’s that we liked from our initial test.

Razer DeathAdder

The Razer DeathAdder was originally released in 2006, however has been twice updated, firstly in 2009 and more recently in late 2014 and is one of the very best, most popular gaming mouse on the market today. This latest model is fitted with a new 6,400 DPI optical sensor giving its superb performance whilst at the same time retaining its fantastic feel thanks to the same design as its previous versions but this time they have replaced the old glossy smooth plastic with a textured matte black finish with new rubber side grips to make it grip better in the hand.

As with previous models, there is still a shortage of customizable buttons with the Death Adder Series and the 2013 model is no exception as it comes with five programmable buttons which includes a left, right button, a scroll wheel and scroll wheel button, however there is no dedicated DPI button with this model which means if you do want change the DPI during your game you will need to assign this to one of the few customizable buttons.

The gaming mouse comes with Razer’s Synapse 2.0 software which helps you to set up the mouse to your preferred settings and for more advanced users, macros support is available. As with all mouse software, you can have multiple profiles each with there own settings meaning that you can set up profiles with different settings for each type of game you play.

Mad Catz R.A.T. 7

The Mad Catz R.A.T 7 is one gaming mouse that you are either going to love or hate, given its probably the most customizable gaming mouse’s on the market right now. You can basically adjust anything you want from the interchangeable left and right side panels to the length of the mouse and even the weight to suit your style.

The gaming mouse comes with a twin-eye laser sensor with 6,400 DPI meaning fantastic accuracy, whilst six programmable buttons, ad dedicated DPI rocker and button to switch between profiles mean that you can customize the buttons and accuracy to suit your style. The gaming mouse comes as standard with two lithium rechargeable batteries that mean you can play with one whilst the other is charging.

Logitech M570 Wireless Trackball

The Logitech M570 is the only wireless device that we would recommend given its fantastic performance and great value for money. The mouse comes with an adjustable laser sensor meaning that you can adjust the tracking of your mouse whilst playing a game for a wide range of cursor speeds. The really interesting part of this gamin mouse is that it comes with a track ball that can be customized which brings in a whole host of new features that you cannot achieve with just buttons and can be very useful during games. Rather than moving your arm to move the cursor, with the Logitech M570, you simply need to move the track ball which means you can potential react quicker to an changes in your game.

The advanced design features both programmable buttons and a wireless receiver meaning that you can control your device from up to 30 feet away. The mouse uses one AA battery and has a battery length of over 18 hours.
